The innovation is the only low-energy, ion-beam technology for rice breeding to be developed in Thailand. Ion-beamed rice plants display several superior agricultural characteristics, including a high yield and improved grain quality that satisfy the needs of the rice industry. This type of rice can improve the income and quality of life of farmers as well as strengthen the competitiveness of Thai rice in the world market.
